Once upon a time, there was a huge forest that caught fire. All the big animals, like elephants, lions, and bears, were overwhelmed by the natural disaster and stood powerless at the crumbling woods. However, one hummingbird, even though it was too small to help put out the fire, endeavored to prevent the forest from burning by flying back and forth from a nearby stream to the forest and taking small drops of water from the stream. The bigger animals that could use their trunks, tails, or mouths, helplessly asked the bird what it could do about the huge fire with its small beak, but the hummingbird didn’t back down and replied that it was doing the best it could.
This is precisely what every person can contribute to tackling global problems, ranging from pollution and climate change to poverty issues. Although the roles of every individual can be the size of a small drop of water, if we play our part and add up our dedication together, it will be worth as much as the ocean.
With our new logo that was inspired by this story, we seek to encourage you to add your share, too, by doing the best you can, like the hummingbird.
